FRP Footbridge has excellent durability and greatly contributes to the reduction of maintenance costs. In addition, it is extremely lightweight compared to conventional prepressed concrete bridges and steel bridges.
Moreover, it also excels in construction on soft ground.
At Genjaku Bridge, we succeeded in downsizing the substructure and improved
workability on soft ground. Due to speedy construction with one small rough terrain crane, we were able to minimize the time required for construction. (Construction takes only about 10 minutes after finishing the ground sling.)

「No.3 Bridge」 Yoro, Gifu Prefecture (Completed in 2016)
The main road has a comparatively high traffic volume and does not have
a dedicated pedestrian walkway, so the installation of a roadside bridge
was planned for the purpose of ensuring the safety of pedestrians. The
area gets considerable snowfall in the winter, making it necessary to spread snow melting agents on the roadways, so the bridge was required to withstand salts. It was
also necessary to reduce the weight of the superstructure in order to lighten the burden on the drainage channels
that are located in the substructure. These are major reasons for using
FRP material, with its superior corrosion resistance and lightweight performance.
